A Study on the Relationship between University Students' Color Preference and Their Level of Optimism

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between color preference and optimism of college students. The subjects of study were 414 university students from freshman to senior in the city of Cheonan. The collected data were processed by the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation using SPSS 12.0 program. According to the result, color preference of university students had a significant difference according gender(red, yellow), grade(red, orange, purple), majors(yellow) and color preference had a significant difference depending on their level optimism. In addition, correlation analysis indicated that the color preference and optimism had significant possitive correlations(red, yellow, green, blue, white).
